Tuition Refund Policy

 

If a student withdraws or is terminated from Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute Adult Echocardiology Program before his/her hours are completed, the student is responsible for money owed to the US Department of Education and/or Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute. Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute will provide a refund calculation when a student has withdrawn or been terminated from the program. The student will then have thirty (30) days to pay any tuition that is owed to Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute. If the withdrawn or terminated students fails to pay the owed amount within the allotted time to MTCVI, a collection agency will be notified. The student will be required to pay the full amount owed after withdrawal or termination from Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute. 

Following the termination or withdrawal a student from the Program at Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute will result in: 

1. Students must make request for withdrawal from the Program in person or by Certified Mail.
2. All tuition and fees (unless specified non refundable prior) will be refunded if applicant is not accepted by Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute or if the student cancels within three (3) business days after signing the Enrollment Agreement and making initial payment.
3. If a student decides to cancel after the third (3rd) business day, but prior to the class, all tuition and fees will be refunded (unless specified non refundable prior).
4. If a student decides to withdrawal from the Program after attendance has begun, but prior to 50% completion of the Program, a Pro-rata refund based on the number of hours scheduled to the total program hours, minus a $100 Administrative Fee. The following is an example of a Pro-rata refund following withdrawal or cancellation from the Program:

If termination occurs after the first day of classes and during the first 10% of the course the student shall owe 10% of the tuition. 
If termination occurs after the first 10% of the course and until the end of the first 25% of the course the student shall owe 50% of the tuition. 
If termination occurs after the first 25% of the course and until the end of the first 50% of the course the student shall owe 75% of the tuition.
If termination occurs after the first 50% of the course the student shall owe 100% of the tuition. 


5.Withdrawal or termination from the program after a student has completed a 50% or more of the program will result in no refund.
6.Termination Date: The last date of actual attendance by the student will serve as the termination date for refund purposes, unless earlier written notice is received and verified.
7.Refunds will be made within thirty (30) days of the verified Termination Date.
