Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute Tuition
Tuition for the Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute Echocardiography Program is $25,000. Tuition does NOT include the cost of required textbooks, uniforms, malpractice insurance, or other fees. Tuition is refundable if the student withdraws within the conditions stated in the Tuition Refund Policy.
Additional Program Costs
The required books for the program will cost each student approximately $285. Students will be required to buy ECHO. . . From a Sonographer’s Perspective: THE NOTEBOOK & THE WORKBOOK by Susan Dewitt and Understanding Ultrasound Physics by Sidney Edelman. It is recommended students purchase Susan Dewitt’s ECHO. . . From a Sonographer’s Perspective: THE NOTEBOOK & WORKBOOK “set” to save on costs.
Uniforms are required for the program, and include scrub top and pants. Scrubs are to be worn in the classroom and clinical rotation sites at all times. During classroom hours, students may wear scrubs that are any color or any pattern. During the clinical portion of the Program, all students must wear navy blue scrubs. Costs of uniforms may vary depending on individual student needs. A typical set of scrubs cost about $40. Students are welcome to buy their uniforms at any store available. Students can contact the Administrative Director for any questions regarding uniforms.
A current Background Check and 10 Panel Drug Screening is required for admission and clinical externship. Students are required to also have a disease screening and proof of all immunizations. All required Disease Screenings and Immunizations are listed in cost list on this page or in this Catalog under the section “Program Requirements.” Living expenses are also not included in the tuition fees or available on-campus. Students will be responsible for finding housing resources and information.
